Parlement : Shakeel Mohamed dépose une «motion of no confidence» contre Showkutally Soodhun

Le chef de file du Parti Travailliste (PTr) à l'Assemblée nationale a déposé ce vendredi 10 novembre une «motion of no confidence» contre le vice-Premier ministre, Showkutally Soodhun, qui est au centre d'une polémique pour avoir tenu des propos jugés communautaristes lors d'une réunion en juillet dernier.

Dans sa motion déposée au clerk de l'Assemblée nationale, affirme que  «this House has no confidence in Hon. Showkutally Soodhun, presently the Vice Prime Minister of the Republic of Mauritius and holding the portfolio of the Ministry of  Housing and Lands and this House resolves that the said member should be removed as Vice Prime Minister and Minister of Housing and Lands of the Republic of Mauritius.» 

Shakeel Mohamed souhaite que  sa motion soit débattue au Parlement ce mardi «since I am sure that you share the view of all the citizens of our Republic that recent events concerning this member make this an urgent matter of public concern».
